EU data center, course preview, and a stronger lesson editor

Two weeks of work in one post. Peerfold now runs a second data center in the EU. Authors can preview a whole course before they publish it. The lesson editor got a full formatting toolbar, a Code view and a revert button.

New

The EU data center

Admin

Peerfold can now host a workspace in the EU. The EU data center runs in Frankfurt, with its own database, its own file storage in the EU, and its own sign-in. The workspace's records and files are stored in the EU.

Preview the whole course before you publish

Learn

The course editor now has one Preview button. It opens the course as your learners see it, with the draft content, in the language you are editing. Every chapter and lesson opens. No sign-in and no enrollment are needed.

A bar on each preview page lets you show the access, sequence and release rules, jump to the live course, go back to the draft, or exit. Owners, admins and authors can all preview.

A full formatting toolbar for lessons

Learn

The lesson toolbar now has headings 1 to 6, text styles, alignment, text color, quotes, dividers, strikethrough, inline code, subscript and superscript. Every learner surface draws them the same way: the portal, Sites, HubSpot, WordPress and SCORM exports.

Also new in the lesson editor:

  • Code view. Open the HTML behind any rich text block, clean it, and save. Useful for lessons imported from Word or HubSpot.

  • Revert to published. Take a lesson, or one block, back to the last published revision. Undo brings your draft back if you change your mind.

  • Image widths. Set an image to a fixed maximum width, from 120 to 1000 pixels. Small images no longer stretch to fill the column.

  • Tables. Click into a table and edit cells, headers and the caption on the page. Tables inside rich text now keep their shape when you edit them, and pasted tables keep stripes, borders, widths and cell colors.

Forms tell your team

Sites

A Sites form can now notify your team on each submission. Send a signed webhook, email up to 10 people, or post to Slack. Each channel is optional.

Improved

Course translations

Learn

Each translated lesson is now a full copy that you can edit freely. Add, remove or move blocks in one language without touching the others. When the original changes, the outline marks the blocks that changed so you know what to review.

The editor always opens on the original language. The language switcher stays visible, and each lesson shows its translation status. AI translation now shows you what it will change before it writes.

Course pages and publishing

Sites
  • Course pages on Sites now draw every landing section in the order you set, including rich text, video, stats, pricing and calls to action.

  • A landing page can carry a video band.

  • Themes have color and spacing settings for each heading level, h1 to h6.

  • You can keep editing a page right after you press Publish.

Faster pages

Sites

Pages load faster for visitors who answered the cookie banner. Marketing tags such as GA4, GTM and HubSpot now wait until the visitor first interacts with the page, or four seconds at most. This is on by default.

Renewals and deadlines

Certify
  • An admin who marks a course complete for a learner with an expired certificate now issues a new certificate.

  • A learner who is waiting for a person to grade their exam is no longer marked overdue or sent an overdue reminder.

  • The HubSpot learning progress card shows 100% for finished enrollments.

Admin

  • Hold or release reminder emails for one learner or many, from the learner record, the learners list, REST or MCP. Changing the hold sends no email.

  • The MCP can set a learner's company, job title, name or phone, and can read or set workspace branding.

  • Renaming your workspace URL keeps you signed in to the right workspace.

Fixed

View-as-learner sessions can no longer save organization changes. SCORM files are served only to people who may open the lesson. Images uploaded during a save no longer drop. Security fixes for MCP connections.

Rollout

The EU data center hosts the Peerfold app and academy. Learner pages on Sites are rolling out to selected workspaces and are not on for everyone yet. Reach out if you would like early access.
